I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
As it is well known that Poultry farm is a designated place that Turkey, Ducks, Chicken and Broiler birds are reared for meat consumption or commercial purpose. Meanwhile, there are different ways by which these birds are can be fed. Basically, I rear broiler birds for commercial purpose;meaning I am rearing these broiler birds so as to sell them either by live or dressed weight. So these patterns of feeding speak a lot about the growth and development of these birds.
Different patterns of feeding broiler birds.
We have many pattern of feeding the Brooke birds but I will the commonly used ones for Poultry farmers who are into rearing Broiler birds for commercial purposes. Though these patterns solely depend on the age of the birds....
Firstly, there is a pattern known as starter feed which is basically giving to birds at their tender age ranging from the birds day old to their 2 weeks. This feed is always protein filled or packed to serve as support for the birds bones and muscles development.
Another pattern of feeding is giving grower feed to birds just to make them taller if the birds are dwarf birds. This would help the birds to be taller than they are. Most times the pattern are used for birds that are in their forth week and it's going to be an added advantage if a farmer wants to sell on live weight because some customers love it when chickens are tall.
And finally, we have finisher pattern of feeding, this pattern is used when broiler birds are outgrowing their weight and the farmer is having no intention to dispose them for one reason or the other. The feed for this pattern has lesser fat and protein.
