Cost of production is the overall amount of money or capital that's being spent on a particular product before they are put up for sales. The means and ways of rearing Broiler birds us somehow tactical and logical on the ground that, there is always calculated amount of feeds a certain set of birds will consume from their day old to their 6th week. This is one of the things that make up the cost of production in the poultry farm business.
By my experience and calculation, 8 bags of feed should enough for 50 Broiler birds from day old to 6 weeks. This is why rearing Broiler birds is logical as I have mentioned earlier. When they are about reaching 6 weeks,, that's their period of harvest, I bet there ought to be standby marketing survey that as soon as the birds reach 6 weeks, customers should already be on ground to buy the Broiler birds either by live weight or dressed weight.
What if things didn't go as planned? Maybe those who you have scheduled your supply where a situation arises that they do not need the supply at that moment. That's where your extra capital comes in; this depicts you have to continue feeding them until they get out of stock. Extra capital is very useful in a situation like this, instead of rally round borrowing money to feed the birds. This extra capital will stand in until you harvest them all and put them for .
