Ever since I have started growing my maize plants,I have been exposed to so many variety of plants. There are some I own myself while there are some owned by a man immediately beside my farm land. This man is a genius at growing all kind of plant. He has many plants such as yam plants, veggies, guinea corn, okro, jute mallow etc. But the plant I am surprised about is his yam plants. Though he didn't have many of them but where he grows them is what amaze me hugely.
Growing yam in sacs.
Normally, I am kind of someone who's literally familiar with yam plants. I mean familiar with how yam is being planted, but to my surprise I am experiencing for the first growing yam in sacs.
Procedure!
The only way I know about planting yam is that by cutting a yam into smaller parts, then bury the parts into the ground and then cover it with sands. There is something paramount about planting yam,its ridges are always bigger and larger than the ridges of maize plant.
What's needed?
Another amazing thing about yam plants is that after they started growing, its usually grow leaf that spreads. So these leave need some log of sticks on the ridges that the yam plants leave can lean on and spread. Just like the one you are seeing in those pictures.
What is so special about this particular yam plants is that they are grown inside some sacs with different log of sticks on it for yam leave to lean on and spread.
