Mine maize are ready for harvesting, so I pluck a few pieces, I intend to leave the maize and let it dry on it step, once I feel like eating some I will come for it, but I intend the use the most part of it for Corn Flake (Pap or Ogi) and Maize Flour (it's a local delicacy with the Yoruba people of Nigeria called Tiwo).

My cassava is doing quite well, it doesn't require much tending to when it has grown to a certain stage, but for now, I still have to weed around it stem and heaps.

Leaving the maize to dry off on the stem saves time and also saves space should have been used to sundry it if it were to be have been harvested.
So when the maize is dry,it will be very easy to dehusk it, whweyhe manually with hand and knife or with engine which is the mechanical way of dehusking.
