Today been a weekend is a work free day for me, I have set such days to tend to the small farm I have in my backyard, except i have events or other pressing things that needs attention, I will be at the farm in the morning to do some work before the sun sets out in full force.
Today wasn't so much different, I was able to harvest the remaining maize that has dried on t stem, and gather it together in one corner of the store room where it will be put out for sun-drying and later take it for SHEDDING.
The major work today was to clear the farm of weeds and maize stems, so that the Cassava plant can have fresh air and there won't be meaningless competition for the available nutrient in the soil. I wouldn't do the work alone, so I have to seek for extra hand to make the work easier and get it done with today.

I am happy and satisfied with the outcome, now my Cassava has the ground to itself, in a couple of month now it will be ready for harvesting, it will add to the food in the store. Having a small farm or garden within our house, it reduces the expenses a family spend on food and the family gets to eat fresh from the farm. I encourage everyone one to give this a try and thank me later when you start harvesting from your garden.
