Hello Homesteaders, hope we're all doing okay. It's good to see many posts here in the community about our various farms and how well we're making progress. I wish us all more wins.
It's also good updating my blog about the progress and setbacks have come across in Agriculture. In the main time, have learnt so many things and am eager to learn more.
Toay I'll be talking about my cassava farm. After several months of continuous work on the farm, this is the present condition of my plant.
Just as I have said earlier in my last post, after leaving my place of primary assignment in the rural area I came back to meet my farm in the at home in the city.
It's so funny how fast weeds grow these days due to the rainy season, I just weed the farm few weeks ago and now it's all bushy again. Everywhere is now bushy and needs another weeding. That's one of the stress in agriculture, you have to keep taking good care of your farm else it affect the growth of the plant and can also make one not have a good harvest.
I'm that kind of person that make use of every slight opportunity i see to practice farming, I don't allow the land around me to waste. It's so unfortunate anyways that my maize is not growing so well, even the ones I planted in the village they refuse to germinate well.
On other hand, while I am unlucky with maize I got lucky with cassava, my cassava are growing sow well. And it's getting to that time of harvest very soon, in few weeks I should be thinking of harvest, some are already in the stage to harvest but I want to give it some time so I can actually harvest everything together.
Thanks for checking out my blog post.
