Our Father

The above screenshot is from the book of Matthew, chapter 6. Now this is the Message translation version. And like I said before, I always love its emphasis.

Let's talk about the first sentence. God is Father and He knows what we need better than we do ourselves. So, we can trust God with our lives. We can trust the plans He has for us. We can trust the instructions He gives. We can trust His leading, because He has loved us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).

Romans 8:31 says, If God be for us, who can be against us? So we have a Father, who doesn't just know what we need, He's got our back. And His love is here for the long run. All throughout the scriptures, we see the consistency of God's love for His children. That love will never fail, its never running out and it won't give up on us.

And how can we be so sure of this? Because God is light and in him,there is no shadow of turning (James 1:17). He is eternal and so are His words. If He's said it, then He'll do it. That's why we can trust Him.

So today, when you pray, pray with a consciousness that God is YOUR Father and He is for you! There's no fear in His perfect love for you😊.
