He had two Beautiful daughters and a wife.
The lived in the land of Sodom and Gomorrah, a land of so much atrocities. A land where promiscuity was a lifestyle.
A land where male slept with male, female and female, and so on.
They had no regard for God and so God planned to destroy them. But he was ready to spare this man and his family so he asked them to run and never look back, and that they did until his wife Remembered her golds and silver and so she wanted retuning to pick them up, but on turning she immediately turned to a pillar of salt, and that she is till today.
Her beloved husband and children were so heartbroken but there was nothing they could do, and so they kept moving. While moving they sited a place good enough for them to stay but the angel suggested another place for them to dwell in, they complained and so they had excuse not to stay at the place they were shown by the angel, they were bent on staying at the placed they chosed and so the angel had no other option than to allow them. This man's name was Lot.
On reaching there, the rested while resting his daughters connive and planned to take turns in sleeping with their father, and that they did and they got pregnant.
Lessons I learnt;
1. Where your heart is that your treasure is there:-
Lot wife's mind and heart was on her jewellery and so she couldn't imagine fire burning up virtually everything, so she wanted going back to pick it up and that was How she got stocked up ams she turned into a pillar of salt.
Be careful were your heart is.
2.Permissive will:-
Several times we tend to choose for God what we actually want, where as it could not be the best for us. God knows how our future will look like and so he asks you to allow him lead you but no you won't let him. See what happened to Lot, he chose for himself where he wanted even when the angel asked him to go the other plain, he refused giving several excuse, so the angel allowed him, that was permissive will, that was not where his was meant to him but his argument kept the angel mute so he allowed him had his way.
What happened was that his daughters connived and slept with him, that was a consequences of not allowing God lead.
3.Environment influence
Apart from the fact that lots wanted Permissive will and so the evidence was his daughters sleeping with him while he was asleep, the environment has a way of sending signals to our being, for example someone living at the ghetto will behave like them consciously or unconsciously, same as someone living where a brothel or club is situated he or she will act like them. So the movie acted by the people of Sodom and Gomorrah had a way of coming back, with all its full video, playing so well that the picture played in their head which made them practice it with their father.
Beloved of God Where you lived affects everything around you, so be careful, in.
In all u do allow God lead, no permissive will, its dangerous taking decisions for yourself without God.
