Open Church is a weekly post that aims to be a place where Christians on Steem can hang out, encourage and build up one another, and reflect the love of Christ. The church is not a building, but is made up of people who have been transformed by God’s grace.
Hive is not all about money, but it’s also a community of real people with real needs. So let us be a community of brothers and sisters that can Truly support one another with our real lives.
Each week I will be putting up a new post with a new topic or theme for discussion. But feel free to come here just to fellowship and be a blessing to one another. Whatever denominational background your from, or if you’re just curious about the Christian faith, everyone is welcome.
So feel free to share a link to your favourite worship song, share a word of encouragement, a prayer request, or introduce yourself.
Today’s question is: What positives are you seeing in the midst of the coronavirus gloom?
With the spread of coronavirus world wide, we are seeing some countries getting hit especially hard. People are hurting and living in fear. But in the midst of all the destruction, we are also seeing some glimpses of hope and some uplifting acts of kindness.
In addition, the lockdowns and move of churches to online gatherings has challenged more people to rethink what church is and how we gather as the church.
The new norms with our every day lives are also challenging us to rethink our priorities, mortality, definition of work, work life balance, and more.
So what positives are you seeing in the midst of the coronavirus gloom?
