Greeting everyone,
How are you? I hope you have another awesome day today that is better than yesterday.
EMBRACING FAILURE AS A STEEPING STONE
I believe everyone knows the bitter feeling of failing at things that we really want to be successful at in life. After working hard, getting enough sleep, preparing, and making sure that those "things" become successes, sometimes we don't get what we want, and it ends up being a failure. Personally, I have been there and am actually still struggling to recover from it. It was sad that some stopped fighting after failing so many times. They might think it's better just to accept it as a total failure and live like they used to live before they fought for their dream.
But here was good news for me and everyone who still believes in that dream.
"Failure is only another wrong way of doing things. There was another path that you could find or open to reach your dream."
Yeah, you heard me right. It was only part of the successful process. Before you become the winner of life, you will face a lot of distraction, failure, temptation, and even boredom from not getting success in the things that you do. Everything that happened was to forge you into the best creation of success.
"It was just temporary."
"Believe it, it doesn't matter how much you fail in your mission; what counts is how many times you try again."
Today I want to share some points that we can learn to overcome our stress of being a failure.
THE FIRST STEP: Redefining Failure
It was very important for us to understand failure as a learning opportunity. Successful people call failure a teacher. Most successful people agree that failure is another shortcut to success. The only difference between a successful and a failed person is that they recover fast and learn from it, while the failed person just stops because of their fear of meeting that failure again.
Face failure like a winner because it will give you a winning attitude. I learned that shifting from a negative to a growth mindset is one of the winning attitudes. Another mindset of the winner is to continue making improvements with innovation and progress.
One of the most famous people on earth, Kentucky Fried Chicken, has been rejected for his delicious recipe. There will be no KFC franchise today if he stops at 1,000 tries.
THE SECOND STEP: Developing Resilience
Failure can cause emotional damage to our minds. It was very important for building emotional resilience. One popular way to build emotional resilience is by practicing self-compassion and self-forgiveness. Until you can forgive yourselves for being a failure, you'll never get a proper start for your next attempt at pursuing success.
There was a lot of psychology involved in dealing with the emotional impact of failure. The only thing that we could do was just copy that step and apply it to our lives. Well, we dont need to invent new things because I believe they are already being tried on their research and have a high percentage of success in recovering from emotional impact.
THE THIRD STEP: Learning from mistakes
Just like what I mentioned before, failure was another wrong way of doing things. Learning from those mistakes will make sure we do not make the same mistake again. This is what they call the power of post-failure analysis and applying the lessons learned to future endeavors.
This step was actually another real point to make that failure a stepping stone, just like our topic today.
THE FOURTH STEP : Perseverance and determination
The last step was perseverance and determination, which fuel success. I know it was tiring to face failure in life, and I believe you also know about that fact. But it was very important to stay committed after failure. This was the secret to how successful people made it to the top.
One way to keep getting excited about reaching long-term success is to meet smaller successes in life. It was very important for us to develop short-term goals for ongoing progress. These were the strategies for maintaining motivation and momentum.
ITS NOT EASY, BUT HANG ON THERE
Yes, it's not easy. But you are not alone. There will be someone somewhere who is facing the same fight as you and me. You can make it; just hang on there and continue what you believe is true in your mindset and analysis.
I hope you can make it to success because I will also continue doing things that I need to do to reach my goal. Thanks for stopping by and learning those steps together with me. Let's do our roles and become better each time we move ahead. That's all for today. See you on another journey.
