Greeting everyone,
It was already my third day since I started exploring and sharing some thoughts that motivated me, and hopefully it will give you at least a little positive thought that can help us become better people in the future.
"A long journey starts with a step of courage in mind and heart."
"A toddler was crawling before he could walk."
When we decide our goals and destination, we'll start to look forward to them. At some point in our lives, we start our first step to reach it. I 100% believe that we will face a lot of disappointment, failure, and, of course, small achievements in our journey. That is why it was very important to keep track of our journey through life. Of course, HIVE is one way to record it, and it's going to be fun at the same time that you and I are rewarded based on what we have recorded.
Today, I'll be sharing with you five key reasons why daily journaling is important and fun.
POINT 1: Self-exploration:
When we sit down, grab a cup of tea, coffee, or anything else that you love to drink. Listening to our favorite song from our playlist gives us a relaxed state where our mind doesn't get stressed.
At that time, we can think clearly and reflect on what we have done that day. It was an opportunity to express one's emotions and thoughts freely. It can lead to insights about personal values and beliefs, which are very important to recognizing our patterns and fixing them accordingly to become better in the future.
Point 2: Stress reduction and emotional well-being
Believe it or not, tracking our past performance while keeping a journal can give us mental relief after knowing that we can improve to do better in the future. But not everyone might think this way. Some people can't accept what happens to them while making journal reviews, which can lead to another solution: meeting the expert (if they want).
We can't deny that journaling can help us manage anxiety and depression, which can improve our mental health.
POINT 3: Goal Setting and Achievement
Goal-setting is very important. Tracking the smaller achievements and making progress toward the bigger goal is like fuel for a long marathon of goals. Some goals that are too big for short-term timelines can be adjusted only when we make a personal brainstorm. Journaling makes it possible for us to track our progress and make adjustments for short-term or long-term goal-setting.
The important part at this point was actually celebrating the successes and learning from setbacks. Have you heard these words from our friend? "It was hard, but it was worth it" . This is what we want to hear from ourselves when we journal.
POINT 4: Improved creativity and problem solving
Sometimes, when we are marching toward our goal, we will face some seatbacks, problems, and distractions. That is why we need to become flexible in our decision-making.
"Life is about learning and growing up. If we are stuck, we will never grow up.
Journaling can stimulate creativity and inspire innovative thinking. Freewriting exercises can give us creative ideas while brainstorming solutions to challenges and problems. Using journaling, we can capture and revisit creative insights.
POINT 5: Enhanced communication skills
I can't deny this point, as I have been keeping journals about my life journey in HIVE since a few years ago. Personally, I am an introverted person who only sits down and does her own thing because she can really talk to other people. Journaling by writing in HIVE gives me chances to learn and develop ideas. This habit teaches me to create ideas and storylines that make me talk freely with people.
I learn a lot by making journals in HIVE. I hope this can give you some idea that journaling is good for our mental health and, of course, our relationships.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope to see you again on our next journey. I hope you enjoy today's topic. Cheers.
