It's about gardening, healing and inspiration...
My first experience growing plants started around 20 years ago.
I decided to give it a try and grow some weed / herbs. Random seeds.
It was interesting, because my grandmother back then was regularly asking me if the "palmy plants" need to have some water and she often took care about them.
By the time I was not set living at one place so for several years it was not easy to start growing anything.
Five or six years after that I started to grow on my balcony where I lived temporary. It was weed again. This time ~ special papaya variety seeds bought from the UK. It was a success.
Experimenting with herbs became interesting to me and... right on...
Next year I started my first herbal live plants collection. To germinate and care for some little indigenous and medicinal plants in my small apartment - on a balcony and indoors!
San Pedro cacti seedlings...
Indoor HawaiianBabyWoodrose
Looking back at June 2008, When I came back to my birth house, this was my first mint, gifted from the neighbour granny...
and it still spreads around the backyard...
Geranium always grew there, and bees love it when blossoming...
First blossom of a Goji Berry ever planted myself...
I've once had a Stevia plant and used its leaves for sweetening tea. Although I kept the seeds, couldn't reborn it in the next year...
I've planted my first Aloe Aborescence back in 2011.
This is a photo from next year's sprouting.
Now it's 9 years old. Look at it how fresh it looks in a big rainfall, surrounded by a Ginkgo and San Pedro!

Morning Glory. You maybe know of it. It was used by the Aztecs for divine ~ healing rituals:
There were much better years...
when I could grow a lot of different veggies / greens & fruits
It was sunnier & warmer at the backyard. Now, maybe because of the big pine and other forest trees, the climate and soil are a lot different...
Actually I've had a lot of other herbs and healing plants during the years in my little backyard garden patches.
You can see a gallery at my website here: http://trayan.info/nature/garden/
I even tried growing some magic mushrooms indoors:
I make honey from the pine in my backyard, it's old exactly as me ;)
Here it is. I tried to "boil it" under the sun...with a stick of cinnamon
I still hope...
good times are ahead and I'll have a bigger place to practice gardening and enjoy my plans grow
