AREA: Poetry
Hello Friends!
Hello Crypto-enthusiasts!
Here we are advancing in one more poem...
Poem # 13 / Poema # 13
Original Title / Título original:
Color de lo no colorido / Color of colorless
Introduction
(Feel free to jump Introduction if you have read Poem #12)
Here with another poem...
If you feel curiosity to read the Poem #12 you can read it in my corresponding:
Alchemy of Poetic words (#12) / Alquimia de Palabras Poéticas (#12).
As I’ve mentioned before, this series — Alchemy of Poetic Words / Alquimia de Palabras Poéticas — is a project I began in 2013. It’s a quiet collection of poems born from memory, emotion, and fleeting moments, carefully gathered over the years in my notebooks. Back then, I dreamed of turning them into a book, each paired with original illustrations by Salvador Jaramillo, a gifted designer and colleague from Mexico. Salvador illustrated works by Indigenous writers, and his art carries a deep, poetic connection to Mexican culture.
After Poem #7, I am playing with AI to generate possible designs for each poem.
Therefore, here we are with poem #13.
This poem was really challenging for me to adapt the play with words. It is difficult to keep the playing with sounds more than meaning in the language translated. The easy way could be to translate literally.
Here I share the best I could in English version.
Spanish Version
Color de lo no colorido
_ ¿De qué color es la verdad?
_ Verde.
_ ¿De qué color es la mentira?
_ Menta.
_ ¿De qué color es el sueño?
_ ¿Gris?
_ ¿De qué color es el pasado?
_ ¿Según qué combinaciones de pasados? Hay muchos matices…
_ ¿Y el amor? ¿De qué color es el amor?
_ ¿Acaso rojo con matices diferentes?

English Version
Color of the colorless
— What color is true?
— True Green.
— What color is a lie?
— Fake Sky.
— What color is a dream?
— Isn’t Gray?
— What color is the past?
— Depending on what combinations of pasts? There are many nuances…
— And love? What color is love?
— Could it be red with different shades?
The Experiment
The illustration gives a good conjugation to the mini-dialogue.
It keeps the tone of the poem.
And then the experiment continues with AI’s help. What do you think about the illustration?
Could I sell my (+50) poems with no illustrations? Something cheap to experiment about selling my first Digital product. In the meantime I am having fun with the results of images with AI for my poems.
At the same time it makes me recall those feelings when writing each one. For this one I have imagined some kind of color for abstract concepts.
Thank you for reading!
— and thank you for holding space for these small, searching into a dream!
