Welcome to my blog.
There is a saying that goes thus: if you think your predicament is the worst, when you have the opportunity of listening to other people then you will thank God for your life.
Some years back, I was at a beach of Union Bank to rectify or complain about a debit alert. Before that day I had been going back and forth from the bank for like a month over the same issue. Trust bank workers with their calm way of talking you in and out of situations like they own your remote control.
My image.
It was almost my turn to be attended to when this dark, tall and lanky man stormed into the bank and went straight to the customer service centre shouting owo mi da( where is my money) In a very loud voice. The lady at the customer care service centre quickly rang for help then her boss, the head of customer service came to address the situation.
On getting out of his office, the head of customer service called the angry man's name saying Mr Ola, I told you to calm down that this issue will be rectified within the next ……… the angry costumer did not allow the head of customer service to finish what he was saying before he responded saying Mr Niyi, mi o ba tiyin wa o(Mr Niyi, I didn't come because of you please)in a very very insulting manner. Like when you shun someone.
The next seconds after that, the angry customer went straight to the teller section and climbed to the slide which they used as a table shouting Owo mi da (where is my money) like a ritualist gone wrong. Before long, the bank security door opened and two hefty police worked in. At that instant this angry customer brought out his phone and was videoing saying you want to Bully me on top of my money abi? I will report you to the whole world. You want publicity right? Let's make you popular.
While at that, the branch manager came out to invite this angry customer into her office but the man said he was not going to talk to anyone behind closed doors leaving the manager with no option than to sort the issue in the banking hall and giving people like me the advantage to get the gist of what really happened.
So it happened that this angry customer is a contractor who had a contract he was executing at hand, he needed money to complete the contract so he could request for his balance hence his reasons for taking a loan from an undisclosed source and the loan was disbursed into his union bank accounts. In the process of trying to transfer the funds to where it was needed he got debited and it was over a month since he had been trying to sort the issue with the union bank.

Apparently, the time for the repayment of the loan was fast approaching and the angry customer said the bank should release his money so he would be able to do the needful with it in time. It was in the banking hall that the branch manager called the head office, they were able to trace and fast track the refund. He was told to check back in the next three working days if he was not credited after a lot of pleading.
I was angry because of just thirty five thousand naira but when I heard that this man was talking about fifteen million naira, my humble was humbled.
