One advice I would give to people is that if you are not wholly ready to perform daily exercising routines it's better for you not to try it at all because you would regret your actions. I have a couple of first time and last time of trying something new because as a youth we always have the urge to try some things and adventure. Although, I am being careful of partaking in dangerous and fetish kinds of games or Adventures that would bring about disaster such as truth or dare, hot spicy pepper, dare dice etc.
One time in higher institution, some colleagues and me decided to do some exercising activities the next day which was a Saturday because we just wanted to have fun and at the same time be physically fit. I saw this as a good idea because I felt that I was relaxing too much and not moving my body around enough so we fixed the time and planned to meet up at 7:00 a.m. at the school gate. On getting there, everyone especially the ladies were dressed in their sporty clothes so it looked like it was going to be a good day.
We started out by jogging to the venue and then we participated in different exercises to keep the body fit. Some of the exercises we engaged in are:Squats, push ups, planks, Walking both indoor or outdoor, Step Touch, High Knees, Dancing to Music, Light Jump Rope etc. Note that these were all beginner friendly exercises. After doing all of this, we retired back to our hostels.
That day went well because I remember boasting about it to my hostel mates and friends in school that in no distant time I would have a banging body that is fit from the exercises.
Night came and I slept well to the best of my knowledge but when I woke up the next morning it was a different story entirely. I couldn't feel my legs and when I did it was an extreme pain especially in my thighs and I could not walk properly despite the fact that I had to get to school for my lectures. It was a disaster for me as the muscles in my upper arm, thighs, back and legs hurt so bad. I had to resort to the use of the aboniki balm I had in my locker to rub the places but these did not help, I struggled with the pain to attend my classes that day.
I became a laughing stock to the people I boasted to the other day. This pain went on for the next four day before I could finally feel my body again. It was then I appreciated the slim stature God me and queried myself for looking for what was not lost. I even fell sick during the period, I had serious cold and fever.
No doubt it was a painful experience, but I might try out exercising again although not now maybe when 8 start having children.
