🦋🌼Hola amigos de Hive 🦋🌼
As a health personnel I always like to be at the forefront of constant improvements for my workplace and my knowledge and recently I have been able to achieve a little of this and I have been able to achieve together with my boss to obtain an IFA dry immunoflourescence team, in the search to improve the accuracy, speed and effectiveness of laboratory results and obtain a correct diagnosis.
All of them will be asked what is dry immunoflourescence? And well, this is nothing more than a much more updated variation of traditional immunoflourescence where we can count on techniques such as elysas. The IFA, like the other techniques, uses antibodies that are marked with fluorochromes to detect the presence of specific antigens in cells or tissues. But the difference is that these reactions are carried out in a dry format, often on a support or film that resembles a test strip.
All this technique is a wonder where we can save hours of work and get really fast results, another advantage of this technique is that we eliminate the need to use corrosive reagents.
As you can see, it is a very small team, while I was taking it out of the box I was very excited to be able to use this new technique and of course give a better result. After placing it in the place I intended for it, I contacted the technician to give me the instructions to perform maintenance and save the tests, calibrate and control the tests.
Once all that is done, I made a summary of the processing and steps to perform the tests to give the respective explanation to my other colleagues. We currently have 3 tests that are Troponin I (cTnL), CKMB and glycosylated hemoglobin HbAIc.
This acquisition represents a significant advance for this clinical laboratory, helping to improve diagnoses and shortening crucial times that are decisive for our patients. This makes me very happy and I hope I can add other tests with this technique.
