Just wow! It happened so damn fast that I don't even know how that actually happened. This might not be such a happy post sharing good food and views as I always do. It's more like a little ranting and getting it off my chest. Sharing one of the worst things that could happen playing skateboard or any of those boards you're looking to get your hands on one.
Surfskate vs Skateboard
This morning, my cousin brought down my skateboard that I haven't touch for months. I have practiced Surf skate now and then in the mean time though. The thing is, these 2 boards are the whole different stories. I'm not quite sure if my mind can't adjust which is which properly no more or I kinda used to surf skate more.
I was trying to cruise and get it right.. Almost.. Almost there so I thought oh! my skill is back! That's how I brought back such an overwhelming amount of confidence that it actually was a little too much of it. I lost my rhythms and fell of the skateboard without knowing how that happened. As mention, "It happened so damn fast that I don't even know how that actually happened"
I couldn't move
No I can't!
I answered my aunt when she was shouting from far away asking what's up and if I could walk. Believe me, I tried, but it really.. what's it called.. 'hurt'. Yes, it was hurt so much. I can feel it was swollen, almost kinda numb and yes, real hurt that I can't even move.
Good thing is, my cousin was there right by me riding my electric scooter so she carried me on her back and brought me home. She afterwards casually diagnosed (according to the internet articles) and try using a cold pack with my foot. I was really hoping it would just be some kind of muscle pain something that could just be gone after a few cold packs but...
Looks normal, feel different
First moment when my right foot got injured, you can really tell it's not normal. It's swollen, a little green-ish and purple-ish.
While treating it with the cold pack, most of the area feels ok and numb-ish. Only the middle that I feel like the cold was really cold and I really felt it in my bone. Even that, I still was hoping nothing like broken bone would happen to me.
Good thing is, the foot looks almost back to normal... Not so good of a thing is, I really still couldn't stand on my right foot, can really move it around and most importantly, it started to hurt so, we decided to just go to have it checked at a hospital properly.
Thai hospital system
It's weird that I got sent through the emergency entrance but the process was not too urgent. The nurses were asking me if I have an insurance, how many times I drink per week, It took them like 20 minutes plus until they let me in.
I got sent to an x-ray room and whoa, not too sure when was the last time I did that but I didn't remember how fast can that take. It literally take them less than 2 minutes to get a few shot of a few angles on my hurting foot.
It broke!
Damn it!
I really thought it would not be any bones broken but it really was. Right in the middle of the foot so.. A cast it is! - This could be one of the best medical equipment or the worst.
They really invented something that could treat millions of lives but not enough thoughts into it to make it water resistant, less heavy and be more flexible when I'd like to do other things.
Worst shower #ever
I have never showered as difficult as I just did. I need to sit on a chair and rest my right foot somewhere higher so that the water won't get into my cast. Really taller than the chair I was sitting on so, believe it or not, this is not the easiest pose ones would do.
Until now, after a few meals, a few medicines, and a shower, my broken bone started to be quite hurt, feel swollen, lack of air, hot, and many more.. It's a mixed feeling.
I know it's just the first day but I can't wait for the last to come.
