Bangladesh has very recently been in a good form against Bangladesh and which is a nice news for the team of delta lands. This cricketing nation is called as "Tigers" which title is named after the royal animal that live around Sundarban, the largest mangrove forest of the world.
Its just more than a decade when the nation got their international status, registering as ODI & Test playing nations. This period of time isn’t a tiny amount and quite dramatically they haven’t been able to hold their true spirit. Match performance was bad. Continually they haven’t performed well. So was the consistency, you could quite perfectly see the change if you draw a developmental performance in a graph.
In the past few blogs of mine, I have mentioned that, unlike Afghanistan Bangladesh have had a nice journey, but they couldnt uplift the true promise. Its not that you would blame your national budget and the expenditure which the government allocates, rather whether the players deliver 100% on the pitch.
There are quite so many instances to this fact that, if the players will to show their true colors in the pitch, they are sure to perform well. There also has differences in between winning from a close angle, or even to have quite contribute equally to win. Its not about 1-2 players who would perform exceedingly well, but the team combination that helps the team reach to a conclusion.
Bangladesh haven’t been able to show that in the highly competitive tournaments or even in bilateral series played all around the years time. Whereas despite having a lack of resources, or having no support from the government ; the country still bounced back and won some of the glorious victories. They were remarkably great as a form of achievement.
In these case what I think Bangladesh has a great deal to improve and look for. Afghanistan is an example for any nation which would like to succeed in the competitive international arena. Now get back to plain facts.
Bangladesh recently won a few matches, some of which were in overseas conditions and some others in the home environments. This team consisting of the present squad of 14-15 members have contributed in this team for more then year's time. But mostly they were bowling dependent, quite typically time around the bowlers held the team to win. So batters were in recessive role.
I think the different between winning or losing, or even to play a solid cricket thus multiplying match performance would be of how to contribute equally. In modern day cricket if the batters dont perform well, it would be tough to be solid in competition. Because all the pitches wont be bowling friendly, rather it would be tougher to retain a normal match performance.
The rest of it is for fielders and even the captain's quality and proficiency to let the team be one or multiple steps ahead than the opponent. Tigers lacked in these points and they haven’t been able to come up with a decent plan, that has been quite an interesting features to look at, if you watch the conditions closely.
