Last week, I said it already that it felt like only a matter of time before Barcelona wrapped up the La Liga title because of the points gap between them and Real Madrid. But deep down, I still felt the season needed one final statement. One final moment to truly crown the champions. And honestly, there was no bigger stage for that than El Clasico.

What a way to seal it.
Barcelona don't just retain the league title on Sunday night, they did it in the most satisfying way possible by sealing it with a victory against their biggest rivals, Real Madrid, right in front of their fans at Spotify Camp Nou. For me, that made it even sweeter. Winning the league is always special, but doing it against Madrid? That is football poetry.
Coming into the match, Barcelona only needed a point, and many people expected a tense and difficult battle because El Clasico games are usually unpredictable. But from the very first whistle, Barca looked like a team that already knew the trophy belonged to them. Calm, confident, aggressive and everything about their performance screamed champions.
The game was practically settled within the opening 20 minutes as Marcus Rashford stunned everyone with an incredible free-kick that flew past Thibaut Courtois into the top corner. And that goal alone set the tone for the night. Then Ferran Torres doubled the lead after a brilliant flick from Dani Olmo, finishing with so much composure inside the box.
At that moment, Real Madrid looked broken.
You could actually feel the difference between both sides. Barcelona played like a united team with purpose, while Madrid looked lost and frustrated. Reports of dressing room tension and another trophyless season clearly seemed to weigh heavily on them. Even when Jude Bellingham thought he had given them hope in the second half, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Meanwhile, Barcelona kept pushing for more. Courtois was the only reason the scoreline stayed respectable after making important saves against Ferran Torres and Robert Lewandowski.
It was not just another El Clasico victory when the final whistle blew. It was the confirmation of Barcelona’s dominance this season. A 14-point lead over Real Madrid said it all.
This title wasn’t lucky. But it was earned, controlled, and fully deserved.
Barcelona are champions again and this time, they made sure the whole world watched them do it in style.
