THE EVERGREEN LOGO
WELCOME TO THE EMIRATES STADIUM
Good morning my fellow football ⚽ lovers on Hive, Today is yet again another matchday, and I welcome 🤗 you to my blog .
Today's match is between;
ARSENAL FC VS EVERTON FC , Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 5:30 PM GMT (6:30 PM WAT) at Emirates Stadium.
Head-to-Head
Recent: Arsenal 1-0 Everton in December 2025, first leg meeting in the Premier League.
This is a must-win for Arsenal. The Gunners sit top of the Premier League with 67 points from 30 games (20 wins, 7 draws, 3 losses, +37 goal difference, 59 goals scored, 22 conceded). Manchester City trail in second on 60 points from 29 games (game in hand), so a slip-up here would hand City a golden opportunity to close the gap to just four points before the run-in intensifies. Arsenal come into this off a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg on March 1, It was a gritty, resilient performance that keeps the tie alive for next week’s return leg at the Emirates, but the Gunners now face a quick turnaround in the league. Dropping points against Everton would be a psychological blow ahead of the international break and could loosen their grip on the trophy.
Everton, meanwhile, are enjoying a strong season under David Moyes (re-appointed January 2025). They sit 8th with 43 points from 29 games (12W 7D 10L, +1 GD) and are just one point off 7th-placed Brentford and five points from the Champions League spots. European football is a realistic target for the first time in years.
Recent Form
Arsenal
Won last five PL games at Emirates since a January loss to Man United (including narrow wins over Chelsea and Brighton).
Overall:Dominant at home but have shown occasional wastefulness in attack and rare defensive lapses in recent weeks.
Everton
Away form:Unbeaten on the road since December 13 and won four of their last six away games (including impressive victories at (Fulham,Aston Villa and Newcastle).
Fresh off a 2-0 home win over Burnley, their first home victory since early December. Ten days’ rest plus a warm-weather training camp has helped.
Arsenal will dominate possession and look to break down a deep, physical Everton block. Moyes’ side are excellent at frustrating top teams.I expect Arsenal to press high and use set-pieces (Arsenal strong, Everton aerially solid).
Everton will counter through Ndiaye’s pace and look for set-piece opportunities themselves. Fatigue from Arsenal’s midweek trip could be a factor, but the home crowd and need for three points should see Arsenal edge it.
Why This Is “Marchday” for Arsenal
A win keeps the title firmly in Arsenal’s hands, restores momentum after the Leverkusen draw, and sends them into the international break and the UCL return leg in confident mood. Anything less hands City hope and tests the squad’s mentality in a season where they have been the most consistent team.
COYG!!! 🔥,a big three points would be huge. The trophy race is still very much alive, and today is the day Arsenal must stand firm.
