Munich were on fire against Spurs tonight and I think the Bayern manager Vincent Kompany will be very very happy in what he had seen tonight especially from the youth. Spurs had two ex Bayern players playing for them tonight. one being Tel and the other Paulinho and they failed to deliver any sort of revenge for Bayern showing them the door.
Spurs started the game with Richarlison up front after Solanke was ruled out through injury. Maddison was also ruled out with a season ending ACL injury which makes us go into the new season with not just a number 10 but in dire need for a number 9 as well. With Son out the door also which I agreed with, it is difficult to see where the goals are going to be coming from. Spurs are having a torrid time in the transfer market after putting all their eggs in one basket for Morgan Gibbs Whyte who had a. gun to his head to stay at Forest. Suddenly there is a growing sense of panic at Spurs that we will not be ready for the start of the season , the Champions League squad debacle, the SuperCup which is right around the corner and of course the two other cup competitions. Spurs were looking at bringing in a number 10 even when Maddison was fit. Now he is gone for the rest of the season so we are in dire need of a playmaker so Spurs will need to move fast here. Thomas Frank gave a hint that Sarr could cover as number 10 and he has been playing well all season for him but we will see. He might have to.
The Don Paratici is back in town and his ban on all things transfer related has now lifted. He is not directly employed by Spurs. He is still a consultant but rumours are he is very much involved in some of the Italian dealings that we are doing so it will be interested to see what he is cooking. Paratici is a vibes sort of guy but our main DOF is a guy called Johan Lange who is all about the stats. This is where it could get complicated because Tottenham are gone mad into the stats with Lange and teams such as Liverpool , Brentford and Brighton have been teams with heavy analytic teams and this is the way Tottenham wanted to go. And it seems to be working. However bringing in the Don back from the cold may be a sign that we are not completely focused on the numbers and stats quite yet. It probably was merely a ploy to get Pleat out the door.
So what started promising with the news the MGW and Kudus were joining is not ending well. Even though the widely regarded problem of the number 6 has been sorted, we signed a hatchet man. We loaned our last hatchet man to Marseille. Pierre Emile Hojbjerg was a Dane like Frank and a better player than Paulinho. So its mad. Kudus is a player and it looks like Odobert is as well . He is like a new signing having spent most of last season injured.
With the League starting in two weeks, we are cutting it very fine. Levy said he doesn't just wanna win the Europa league. He wants to win the Champions League and the League. The top 6 clubs are outspending us on wages and transfers. In order to make a bold statement like this he must back it up.

Legohead is calling friendly games "Tests" just to annoy everyone and make them wanna beat Arsenal. They are not having a good preseason and letting a rapist play games and covering for him has not gone down well even with Arsenal fans and especially the Arsenal ladies.
