This is why the Bernie bros hate capitalism, and they're right to. But this isn't capitalism. It's cronyism, and it only exists because AT&T and other companies successfully lobbied congress to create the H1B program they're now exploiting. The program shouldn't exist. There is no tech worker shortage in the US. We train far more programmers than we need and as a result, young programmers struggle to find jobs. The problem is corruption in DC, and you don't fix it by handing more power to the DC swamp critters, like Bernie wants to do.
