Hive and How it All Started

Tell us how you got started in the world of cryptocurrencies and on Hive.

It is nice that topics like this pop up once in a while for us to rally recall how we get into this wonderful world of crypto. Now, how did my journey began in crypto generally and in Hive in particular. Can I even recall? Oh, yes, let me start from somewhere.

I have been hearing about cryptocurrency down here in my country. Even in the national newspapers you could see once in a while pop up news items about seminars on how people can invest or trade to earn an additional living via cryptocurrency. I don't even pay attention to them because of other commentaries I have read elsewhere that it is a high risk venture.

But the year 2020 saw a change in my worldview. A certain pandemic was ravaging the world. I am referring to COVID-19. The need for alternative income became necessary, especially working from home. I was then approached by my good friend Hive account@alovely088 who told me that I can actually make money while staying at home (quarantine). I then asked how and he told me it has to do with blogging and getting paid in crypto. I was not too keen on that idea but he took time and guided me including delegating some HP to me for a start.

Like a fairy tale/dream I signed up and started writing most especially in the freewrite community and the !ALIVE tribe. Later I extended to the Hive account@lmac community, Hive account@ladiesofhive and other communities and I started earning really. I was surprised initially because I never knew it could be true.

Though not a pro yet but I must say that I am enjoying my life here on the hive blockchain. I am really happy to be part of this great community and I will so my best to bring in more people to also be part of this lofty crypto blogging platform.
