Do you like to read? What kind of books, magazines, newspapers or articles do you like to read? Why do you like to read that?
The above is the prompt for this week's discourse.
It is said that reading maketh a man. So I as a person loves to read and my reading covers varieties of books, magazines, newspapers and articles. To begin with, I read educational books which helps me in impacting knowledge to my students. I like to stay up to date with the latest discoveries in the area of my studies so that my students will be kept abreast of everything recent in the field I teach them.
Again aside educational materials, I also read circular works of authors in the form of novels. These cover both African and non African authors. They keep me company during my spare time. I also see the world in another form through their various works.
Magazines and newspapers also form part of the things I read. Generally, I read women magazines, both local and international. One of such is a Christian magazine for women called Every Woman.
I also read fashion magazines like Complete Fashion Magazine, Pulse.NG, We Love Style, Fashion Online, Thisday Style and Genevieve Nigeria.
To round off this discourse, I also read food magazines and blogs like FoodGuide. Magazine, All Nigerian Recipes, SisiYemmie, Nigerian Food TV and others.
