Gifts - What are the 3 types of gifts you like and appreciate the most? Why do you like them so much?
Hello #qccommunity friends, Happy new week. I trust you had a restful weekend. Mine was filled with work-from-home assignments that kept me engaged offline. I welcome you to my blog.
Gift, what are gifts? They could be defined as special capabilities endowed in an individual that differentiate the individual from others. They can be physical or not. When we talk about gifts in physical or monetary form, they could be items such as cars, houses, money, or artworks. When they are given, nothing is expected in return.
However, nowadays, I have witnessed occasions where someone who gave a gift requested a return of the gift when things went sour in their relationship. No wonder a friend made a funny statement that whenever she receives a gift from the opposite sex, she keeps it for some time before using it to avoid long stories in case the giver requests a return of the gift.
On the other hand, we have gifts in the form of talents such as storytelling, dancing, singing, comedy (the ability to make people laugh. These come naturally, and if developed, can become an individual’s gateway to success and wealth.
Third, there are spiritual gifts such as discernment, divine healing, prophecy, among others. These are used mostly by pastors. Outside the above-mentioned gifts, there are other gifts

Having said that, I like service gifts, natural gifts, and spiritual gifts. As explained above, I always appreciate spiritual support like intercessory prayers said by a loved one in my absence and without my knowledge. Such prayers are believed to remove impending doom or be helpful. I also like praying. It connects me to my maker and paves the way for me to receive from the throne of mercy.
Again, I like service-based gifts, for example, a colleague assisting to coach employees internally instead of sending them outside and spending heavily on the same service. That way, it reduces my department budget and frees resources for other projects.
However, sometimes some people become pompous when they notice that they have a particular gift that ought not to be. My gift of storytelling has been helpful; through it, I have gained friends and monetary rewards.
I remember when I went to visit my sick sister, I engaged her through storytelling, making her feel better, and when it was departure time, it was difficult letting go.
In conclusion, gifts are essential in life and can be a game-changer if well managed and used.
