QC Community Contest question for the week is...
"Your favorite place - What is your favorite place? Why? Tell us what you see, what you can smell, and how it makes you feel every time you're there."
What is your favorite place? Why?
I don't go out a lot. Also, it'll be boring if I say it would be my best friend's place, even if it's true, so I would answer this as what is my favorite place besides that.
I've recently discovered this place called KyuKyu Ramen 99.
Their place is very affordable and the amount of the ramen is decent for the price. I've been there twice now and I'll probably try the other ramens on my next visit.
I cannot disclose the place I've been because it's pretty close to where I were but their environment is also really good. It feels like you're in an authentic japanese ramen place.
As you can see above, their ramens are quite affordable. I've only tried the 99 php one or roughly $2 ramen and it's quite tasty. I'll try the others next time, of course, one at a time.
Tell us what you see, what you can smell, and how it makes you feel every time you're there.
Upon ordering, they will give you a tag for when your ramen is ready and it would beep once it is.
From one of the seats, you can see the kitchen/counter. You can literally see how your order is cooked and prepared. You can smell the broth from the kitchen along with a milky smell, probably added on the broth as well.
The place, with it's decorations, gives you a very home-y feel and makes you relax while you order. I like sitting on the wooden chair and wooden table kind of gives you this authentic feel and then you get your order yourself once it's ready.
The ramen has a heavy feel on it. The soup is creamy and the noodles are not that thick. They also have a big chunk of meat and nori (Japanese seaweed) so you're technically eating a one whole meal in one seating.
