Alona Beach, Bohol
OK, so what am I going to share about after a lengthy introduction? It's because this pandemic lockdown and restrictions are boring. We are all bored. At first, even vaccinated travelers were required to take PCR test and for some unlucky travelers wer quarantine. PCR test/ swab test are expensive.Traveling requires vaccine cards and I refused to be vaccinated for the reason that I have allergies issues. I would never put myself in a situation where I would or too late, to regret aftwerwards. Well, after a year of pandemic and when our local governement lifted the travel restrictions, without a second thought I decided to take PCR test so I could visit Panglao Bohol island. I was hoping for a time off to another island for a change of atmosphere are ambiance. I had a busy year and to have a fews days off would have done me well.
Panglao island is a famous tourist destination for its white sand beaches and world-class diving site. There wasn't a day people would ceased going for boating, guiding tourists divers these were what I've obseverd during my stay in Alona beach Haruhay. Alona beach is said to be the best in Bohol for its fine-white sand and clean shoreline,in fact is it dubbed as small" Boracay."
I've never seen such beautiful beaches before until I visited this island. The wide view of the sea is breathtaking. And bohol is a lot more laid-back. If you prefer peace and quite then I this is the place for you. One thing I hate about here is every afternoon till late evening,it's full-packed with tourists. There's a lot of bars and restaurants, commercial facilities line 1 kilometer stretch of the beach. I wasn't able to photograph all the scenes here because I prefered to just enjoy the moment and I also avoided being hooked on with social media when I'm taking an off, off for me is a complete off grid, supposed to be. Though other times I was able to managed placing my phone in my pocket.
This woman was trying to negotiate a lower price for diving as I overheard them while I had my morning coffee while waiting for breakfast to be served. I enjoyed morning walked for two consecutive days and jumped unto the water after every morning exercise to cool off my body. I also met few tourists who are friendly and approchable. There were many as well who jogged in the morning getting vit d perhaps same intention as mine.
I must say Hayahay Resort served the best coffee and good food. They also have quite a bit pricey food in this island. All their crew has become my friends since they've got to see me everyday and they're getting acquainted to my daily activities as it seemed.
There were people who exercise in the morning and a group of men cleaning the beach shoreline, they had sacks for trash with them,no wonder why this island is clean and well- maintained.
Of course a selfie. It would be very unsual for me to not have a single remebrance of my 'me time'. I love checking places as usual, I find it hard to just walk at the beach sands so I followed the trail upon reaching the end of the shore and that trail leads me on top of the cliff overlooking at this somewhat a boat hiding spots.
Young man spotted trying to stay fit! For sure he enjoyed the place like I do.
It was my second time visiting this cave. Before going back to Dumaguete,my tour would not be completed without having seen this nature again. This is located in same island. It was convenient for me to access this place because rented a motorbike, having your own vehicles would make it more easy for you to get to check around.
The water is so clean and clear, very refreshing too! many bats and other birds are dwelling. The stalagmite and stalastites formation are so amazing. I leaned on the rock, while remained quiet and after a while when the animals learned they were so alone in there paradise that I enjoyed the soundscapes of joyful noise of bats, birds and water drips from stalactites.
I hope you get to visit this place one day if you love natures.
Thanks for dropping and checking my post. Till next time!
Have a nice day ever!
