Disrespect in Social Media
Disrespect on social media is at an all-time high nowadays, especially when someone expresses an opinion and gets bashed for it. The phrase "think before you click" has already been forgotten. There is too much politics, and people always seem to take sides. While that is normal in this world, disrespect should never be normalized.The funny thing is when someone disagrees and posts about another person's opinion, but keeps their own comment section turned off. Their posts can be incredibly harsh and demeaning to the person they are targeting. This is not just cowardice; it is also disrespectful because it does not give the other person a chance to defend themselves.That is why social media is so toxic. While everyone has the right to express an opinion or disagree, they should still maintain respect with their choice of words.
