Still in Sacramento. Cosumnes River is not only an easy hike with a lot of shade but you can enjoy the friendly nature while paddling, kayaking along the river or just fishing from the paddle board.
Although it's 18 feet deep in the thalweg, a calm water with a lots of floating plants or growth from the bottom of the water that looks almost dirty water to me.

There are two different sides of the nature preserve, a wetland and a river with over 4.600 acres to explore. We went there during dry season so we couldn't see the water around to see the reflected sunset in it.
A comfort place to walk during a hot sunny day. But can be dangerous if too much rain, like happened in 2017, it was 5 feet flood and turned that area into a lake.
A kid's friendly place to hike, some are paved and some are dirt but it's really clean with a fresh atmosphere to breath and to enjoy.

It's not allow to fishing on the dock since it may bother someone who is going to launch.
The water seems a little dirty and dark, but still let the shadow of some trees to show on the surface of water ripple.

It's good to know what we should eat and not to eat, or we just need to limit since we don't really get good benefit from it. Here is the list of fish we should know for future use, but I'm sure you guys are already know.
