Hello everyone.
As you know, it started to snow in Istanbul a few days ago. And for several days it snowed and the snow remained on the ground and snow fell to about half a meter. More than half a meter of snow fell in some places.
And there was a storm that lasted almost a day. I was caught in a storm because I had to go to the doctor that day. It was really a bad experience for me. But luckily, that bad day is over. Yes, I say bad day because there was so much snow and wind that day that we could not see two or three meters in front of us. I don't want to have such a horrible experience ever again. 😊

Bildiğiniz gibi birkaç gün önce İstanbul' da kar yağmaya başladı. Ve birkaç gün boyunca hem kar yağdı hem de karlar yerde kaldı ve yaklaşık yarım metreye kadar kar yağdı. Bazı yerlerde de yarım metreden daha fazla kar yağdı.
Ve neredeyse bir gün süren bir fırtına oldu. Ben de o gün doktora gitmek zorunda olduğum için fırtınaya yakalandım. Bu gerçekten benim için kötü bir deneyimdi. Ama neyse ki o kötü gün geride kaldı. Evet kötü gün diyorum çünkü o gün o kadar çok kar ve rüzgar vardı ki iki üç metre önümüzü göremiyorduk. Bir daha böyle korkunç bir deneyim yaşamak istemiyorum.
I went to the hospital by train. Because there is a danger of ice on the roads. So I was afraid to go by bus. After going for about half an hour by train, I arrived at the hospital. On the way to the hospital by train, I read books and listened to music. I don't have much time to listen to music these days. That's why I take my headphones with me when I go places and listen to music until the road ends.
Hastaneye trenle gittim. Çünkü yollarda buzlanma tehlikesi var. O yüzden otobüsle gitmeye korktum. Tren ile yaklaşık yarım saat boyunca gittikten sonra hastaneye vardım. Trenle hastaneye giderken hem kitap okudum hem de müzik dinledim. Bu aralar müzik dinlemek için pek fazla zamanım olmuyor. O yüzden bir yerlere giderken kulaklığımı yanıma alıyorum ve yol bitene kadar müzik dinliyorum.
I love walking on the road by this lake and listening to music while walking. But I usually do this in the summer. Because in the winter, when the weather is very cold, the cold wind blows here constantly and it gets really bad when it rains. I've been here once before when it snowed, but luckily the snow had stopped when I got here.
Bu gölün kenarındaki yolda yürüyüş yapmayı ve yürüyüş yaparken müzik dinlemeyi çok seviyorum. Ama bunu genelde yaz mevsiminde yapıyorum. Çünkü kış mevsiminde havalar çok soğukken burada sürekli soğuk rüzgar esiyor ve yağmur da yağınca gerçekten kötü oluyor. Daha önce bir kere kar yağdığında da gelmiştim ama neyse ki ben buraya geldiğimde kar durmuştu.
By the time we got to the hospital, the snowfall had lessened a lot. And I was able to take good pictures while walking on the road. I love taking pictures when it snows and rains. Because nature and the city are different.
Hastaneye vardığımızda kar yağışı çok azalmıştı. Ve yolda yürürken iyi fotoğraflar çekebildim. Kar ve yağmur yağınca fotoğraf çekmeyi çok seviyorum. Çünkü doğa ve şehir farklılaşıyor.
I took this photo next to the hospital. There are such beautiful trees near the hospital and this is what these trees look like when it snows. I think this is a very beautiful image. I love trees very much. When I see different trees, I take pictures.
Bu fotoğrafı hastanenin yanında çektim. Hastaneye yakın böyle çok güzel ağaçlar var ve kar yağınca bu ağaçlar böyle görünüyor. Bence bu çok güzel bir görüntü. Ben ağaçları çok seviyorum. Farklı ağaçlar gördükçe fotoğraflarını çekiyorum.
It was really hot for your hospital. I think it's really hard to keep such a huge place warm. After waiting for the doctor for about 10 minutes, I was examined and gave blood. This time I gave much less blood. I think the doctor is less concerned about my blood values than he was last time. I have been eating healthier since last summer. I try not to eat grain type things. I usually eat vegetables and legumes.
Hastanenin için gerçekten çok sıcaktı. Böyle kocaman bir yerin sıcak tutulabilmesi gerçekten çok zordur bence. Yaklaşık 10 dakika doktoru bekledikten sonra muayene oldum ve kan verdim. Bu sefer çok daha az kan verdim. Sanırım doktor benim kan değerlerimi geçen seferkine göre daha az merak ediyor. Geçen yazdan beridir daha sağlıklı besleniyorum. Tahıl türü şeyler yememeye çalışıyorum. Genelde sebze ve bakliyat yiyorum.
After waiting for about 20 minutes to give blood, we went out. This time it was less time to donate blood. I guess because the weather was so snowy, people came less often. But inside the hospital was still very crowded.
Kan vermek için yaklaşık 20 dakika bekledikten sonra dışarı çıktık. Bu sefer kan verme sırası daha azdı. Sanırım hava çok karlı olduğu için insanlar daha az gelmişti. Ama hastanenin içi yine de çok kalabalıktı.
I saw such a place before I got on the train. It's like a park and it's really big. There are lots of trees here. I mean, it's a very nice place to come and take a walk in the summer, but my house is far from here. That's why I can't come here all the time.
Trene gelmeden önce böyle bir yer gördüm. Park gibi bir yer ve gerçekten çok büyük. Burada bol bol ağaç var. Yani yaz mevsiminde gelip yürüyüş yapmak için çok güzel bir yer ama benim evim buraya çok uzak. O yüzden sürekli buraya gelemem.
After we got off the train, we went up a long slope and it started to snow. When it starts to snow, we have about half an hour to go home. I think this is a really long road. Especially in such snowy weather. It snowed so much before we got home that the view we see when we leave here in the morning is really different from what we see now.
Trenden indikten sonra uzun bir yokuş çıktık ve kar yağmaya başladı. Kar yağmaya başladığında eve gitmemize yaklaşık yarım saat vardır. Bu gerçekten çok uzun bir yol bence. Özellikle böyle karlı bir havada. Biz eve dönene kadar o kadar çok kar yağdı ki sabah buradan çıkarken gördüğümüz manzara ile şimdiki manzara gerçekten çok farklı.
It was just starting to snow when I took this photo. 10 minutes after we took this photo, it snowed so much that we couldn't see what was happening a few meters away. It's the first time I've seen something like this in Istanbul for years. And I was very surprised until I got home. The climate has truly reached an irreversible level, and in a few years it will be too late for everything...
Bu fotoğrafı çektiğimde kar yeni yağmaya başlamıştı. Bu fotoğrafı çektikten 10 dakika sonra o kadar çok kar yağdı ki birkaç metre karşıda neler olduğunu göremedik. Yıllardır İstanbul' da ilk defa böyle bir şey gördüm. Ve eve gelene kadar çok şaşırdım. İklim gerçekten geri dönülemez bir boyuta ulaştı ve birkaç yıl sonra her şey için çok geç olacak...
