Torchlight parade tradition in Aceh, Indonesia

In this post, I want to share some photos about a tradition in Aceh. This tradition is held only once a year. Right on the eve of welcoming the Islamic New Year.

The torch relay was attended by the students and also the local community. They carry torches made of bamboo and walk around while chanting selawat. I took these photos several months ago.

As we know, every region in Indonesia has different traditions. So, that's what Indonesia is called an archipelagic country. OK, this is all my post on this occasion. Hopefully friends are entertained. Thank You
