Now this ash gourd has come to its final size and if it is left for a long time then it will get spoiled due to excessive sunlight.That's why today my elder brother broke all the ash gourd which were presented on the roof of house as you can see in the image
It has been grown by us in a completely natural way, so we know that we will not see any harmful effect of it.
Now have a look on some of the important and interesting facts about these Ash gourd
- It is the only plant which belongs to the genus of benincasa it has many names like Ash gourd, white Gourd, winter Gourd, tallow gourd, winter melon ,Chinese preserving Melon and so on.
- if this fruit is in image it has a thick white flesh that taste sweet but with maturity this fruit loses its hairs and develop a coating of wax like structure
In our India, it is used to make a very delicious sweet recipe, which we know by the name of Paitha and Agra is famous for this Petha It is believed that the petha of Agra is the most delicious because it is prepared in a different way there.
You can see in these pictures how big it looks but if I talk about their weight, then not one of them weighed more than 5 kg.
