Hope you are doing well
You know how much I am fond of nature. I feel grateful specially for being able to live in this region where nature is growing so abundantly. There are so many varieties of flowers, trees, birds etc. I often keep sharing them with all of you. All the new things or beings in nature amazes me, they take my curiosity to a new level. I feel like a child who get amazed again and again whenever he see something new.
Today I am here with a very unique tree named Indian Beans tree. This is a flowering tree, but unfortunately it's flowering season (in the month of May June)has passed now. So i can see just the seed pods now. Seed pods are in the form of long beans, the form of seed pods amazed me. I have never seen such kind of fruits before. Hopefully i will see it's beautiful white flowers too in next June. 😊
Some facts about Indian beans tree
~ Scientific name of this tree is Catalpa Speciosa commonly known as Catalpa tree. It is native to warm regions of North America, Carribean and East Asia.
~ Due to it's bean shaped fruits it is called Indian bean tree or Cigar tree.
~ This tree falls in the category of ornamental trees, and due to it's large size it is useful as a shade tree too.
~ They are full of white flowers in the month of May-June , they look beautiful in any type of landscape. Source
