It is saddening to see multiple members in the family are deaf. These three elderly women with their shirt colors in grey, blue, and dark blue are together surviving. The one in grey and dark blue are siblings, the one in lighter blue is their sister-in-law. The sister-in-law's husband is also deaf. It means three in the family are deaf.
I am not sure what went wrong, or probably it's in their blood. We met a lot of deaf people who are born in such condition. In fact, some of those we met are either four or five in the family are deaf.
Regarding these three elderly ladies, the siblings are unskilled in sign language, and uses natural signs. The sister-in-law is good in Filipino Sign Language, and American Sign Language. She can even utter words, and read words especially Iloko dialect.
We are happy to meet them, and they are accommodating.
