북한산 문수사(Bukhansan Mountain Moonsusa Temple)
Munsusa Temple is a branch temple of Jogyesa Temple, the headquarters of the direct parish of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It is just below Munsubong Peak.
It was founded in 1109 by Monk Mukam Tanyeon. It is said that State Preceptor Tanyeon witnessed the Bodhisattva Munsu while practicing asceticism in the rock cave here and built a hermitage called Munsuam.
