Mount Taleuk is located in the village of Panton Beunoet, Blang Keudah settlement, Tiro District, Pidie Regency, Aceh, Indonesia.
We departed from Sigli City to Pinto Sa at 17.30 WIB. Pinto Sa is a dam or irrigation system to irrigate the rice fields of several sub-districts in the Pidie region. To go to Pinto Sa, I took the Win motorbike with a friend. The two of us first arrived at Pinto Sa, while waiting for a friend who was shopping for supplies to Mount Taleuk, we both waited at Pinto Sa while enjoying coffee.
Waiting for a long time at 7:20 p.m. new friends arrived, we headed straight to the village of Panton Beunot to the village head's house to announce our ascent to Mount Taleuk.
After reporting, we said goodbye to the village head to continue our journey. The first path we took was a path and had to pass through several rivers. Using a motorbike through the path was rather difficult until I fell into the river. The path we took was difficult and it was getting late at night so we decided to rest. We set up a tent beside the rice fields.
The next day after finishing breakfast we continued our journey until we arrived at a cottage. The cottage belongs to Pak Bukhari, we left our train at the cottage and asked about the hiking trail to Mount Taleuk. There are two paths shown by Mr. Bukhari, the first route is through Alue Tampue and the second route is through Alue Jok. I asked which route was easy to follow, Mr. Bukhari said that the Alue Tampue route had a lot of venomous animals such as rattlesnakes, said Mr. Bukhari. Finally we chose the Alue Jok path. We were escorted by Pak Bukhari to Alue Jok.
Arriving at Alue Jok we thanked Pak Bukhari for taking us and we continued our journey up to Mount Taleuk. The first path we faced was a very dense and uphill forest, we started to gasp for breath. We kept walking until we found weeds around the forest, a sign that our journey had reached our destination.
The beauty of Mount Taleuk is a vast grassland or savanna. We continue to walk to a higher place to be able to see the beauty of Mount Taleuk.
If a friend wants to climb Mount Taleuk, don't forget to bring an umbrella or other heat protection device, because if the weather is hot on Mount Taleuk there are no trees as a shelter from the hot sun, and don't smoke carelessly for smokers because dry weeds will burn easily .
Because when we climbed Mount Taleuk the weather was very hot, after taking some photos as documentation we immediately went down to go back to Pak Bukhari's hut to return to our respective homes.
