International Firefighter's Day / Día Internacional del Bombero

Among the many trades that exist in the world, the work of the firefighter is one of the most sublime and pure that can exist, since on the shoulders of these brave men and women falls the hard work of fighting the danger in order to save lives. Every May 4th the world celebrates the International Day of the Firefighter, on this date those heroes who have fallen in the line of duty are remembered with special feeling, therefore, on this date a mixture of feelings is generated that highlight the vital importance of these fire warriors.

Entre los muchos oficios que existen en el mundo la labor del bombero es una de las más sublimes y puras que puedan existir, ya que sobre los hombros de esos valientes hombre y mujeres recae el arduo trabajo de combatir el peligro para así poder salvar vidas. Cada 4 de mayo el mundo celebra el día internacional del bombero, en esta fecha se recuerda con especial sentimiento a aquellos héroes que han caído en el cumplimiento del deber, por lo tanto, en esta fecha se genera una mezcla de sentimientos que hacen resaltar la vital importancia de estos guerreros del fuego.

While I was walking through one of the streets of the city, it seemed to me that I had crossed the front of the Headquarters of the Firefighters of the Capital District, there I came across a very interesting mural, where a firefighter can be seen carrying a colleague in his arms and both are in front of some white stairs that overcome the clouds and rise towards eternity, but at the same time we can see that at the foot of said stairs there is an oxygen cylinder, barrels of fuel, charred rubble and a lot of material scattered all over the place. sides, while in one corner a large black spot burns and from the flames emerge the names of those firefighters who lost their lives on December 19, 1982 in the Tacoa tragedy.

Mientras caminaba por una de las calles de la ciudad me pareció que atravesé el frente del Cuartel General de los Bomberos del Distrito Capital, allí me tope con un muy interesante mural, en donde se aprecia a un bombero cargando en sus brazos a un compañero y ambos se encuentran ante unas escaleras blancas que superan las nubes y se elevan hacia la eternidad, pero al mismo tiempo podemos observar que a los pies de dicha escalera se encuentra una bombona de oxígeno, barriles de combustible, escombros calcinados y mucho material regado por todos lados, mientras que en una esquina una gran mancha negra arde y de las flamas surgen los nombres de aquellos bomberos que perdieron la vida un 19 de diciembre del año 1982 en la tragedia de Tacoa.

This is a work that deserves to be recognized, since it not only combines different types of artistic expressions, but is so well thought out that it allows us to connect with it immediately, transmitting very deep feelings and emotions that make us reflect and think about the immense value that these men and women have within our society, but many times their work is not well recognized by many and therefore go unnoticed, for this reason I wanted to make this tribute on this date of global importance, having as goal the sensitization of the hearts and at the same time exalt such a noble work.

Esta es una obra que merece ser reconocida, ya que no solo conjuga diversos tipos de expresiones artísticas, sino que esta tan bien pensada que permite hacer conexión con ella de forma inmediata, trasmitiéndonos sentimientos y emociones muy profundas, que nos hacen reflexionar y pensar en el inmenso valor que estos hombres y mujeres tienen dentro de nuestra sociedad, pero muchas veces su trabajo no es bien reconocido por muchos y por lo tanto pasan desapercibidos, por esta razón es que en esta fecha de importancia mundial quise hacer este tributo, teniendo como meta la sensibilización de los corazones y al mismo tiempo enaltecer tan noble labor.
