No, everyone else is doing it. I'm actually one of the few actually giving out a vote worth a damn ($3-$5+). Most can give big votes but only choose to give out a couple cents as it is purely for curation rewards and not for actually supporting people.
I don’t think it is dead but as long as we are not onboarding new authors on a regular basis there really isn’t a whole lot to manually curate.
It is very respected but I can’t justify spending 4-12 hours reading posts daily where most are minimum effort and highly rewarded. I choose to support people I feel produce good content and/or putting in effort. If either change, I adjust my votes. This allows me to focus on other things as well.
