Así que mis amigos una vez más, quiero narrar en esta oportunidad mi experiencia con relación a una de las plazas que se encuentra ubicada en la parte central o casco histórico de nuestra ciudad Cumaná, hoy les hablo sobre la plaza "Pichincha" .
Esta plaza se encuentra ubicada en la zona central, donde podemos dar como referencia para su punto de ubicación, la biblioteca publica, donde yo de joven estudiantes iba a realizar mis investigaciones esta biblioteca se llama "Armando Zuliaga Blanco" y para ser más puntual al lugar, vamos a conseguir el auditorio del Palacio Episcopal ya que esta plaza queda al frente de esta institución. Esta Plaza lleva por nombre Pichincha, en honor a nuestro generalísimo "Antonio José de sucre" por ser uno de los prócer y héroe de la Patria de gran importancia para este país y sobre todo para nuestra ciudad, el cual le permitió nacer y crecer para abrirse al mundo y defendernos en las diferentes batallas cómo fue el caso de la batalla de Pichincha, que nos libertó junto al ejército patriota en contra del ejército realista, en el cual para esos años fueron nuestros oponentes, y es a partir de este gran momento, el cual se hace honor en esta Plaza a nuestro gran Mariscal de Ayacucho.
Por otro lado, esta es una plaza sencilla pero con gran valor histórico, en ella se encuentra el busto de este héroe además de una estructura con el nombre de Batalla de Pichincha con los años alusivos resaltando esa fecha histórica también ese lugar vamos a conseguir en sus alrededores varios bancos o asientos que les va a permitir a los transeúntes descansar o reunirse en ese sitio para realizar encuentros o conversatorio en vista de que podemos apreciar grandes arboles y áreas verdes que nos va a proporcionar en la mayor cantidad de la plaza sombra y es muy fresco el lugar para pasar un rato de relajación y esparcimiento además de aprender un poco más de nuestra historia local.
