Una mirada a la comunidad Mundo Nuevo (Eso/Ing)

Mis queridos hivers, hoy les voy a dar un pequeño recorrido por la comunidad *Mundo Nuevo*, la cual está ubicada en la parroquia Santa Inés, cerca del Casco histórico de Cumaná, colinda con los barrios Miramar y Mirador. En conversación con los habitantes se pudo determinar que la organización de este poblado data de la década de los años 50, fecha cuando cayó la dictadura de Marcos Pérez Jiménez.

My dear hivers, today I am going to give you a little tour of the community Mundo Nuevo, which is located in the Santa Inés parish, near the historic center of Cumaná, adjacent to the Miramar and Mirador neighborhoods. In conversation with the inhabitants we were able to determine that the organization of this town dates back to the 1950's, when the dictatorship of Marcos Perez Jimenez fell.

Una vez asentados los primeros pobladores, en viviendas rudimentarias de bahareque y asbesto, el camino de tierra fue reemplazado por asfalto, década de los sesenta, y de inmediato inició un proceso de desarrollo debido a que los habitantes de la comunidad tenían fácil acceso al centro de la ciudad, la gobernación y el antiguo mercado. En ese tiempo también se inicia la construcción del Hospital “Antonio Patricio de Alcalá”, mismo que se ubica cerca del sector. Así que Mundo Nuevo se constituye en un lugar estratégico para aquellas personas que aspiran trabajar de manera formal.

La mayoría de las viviendas todavía poseen terrenos en sus patios puesto que fueron originalmente planificadas para tener gallineros o espacios para criar animales. Una vez que los servicios públicos se hacen presente, las casas rudimentarias dan paso a construcciones más seguras y modernas. En pocos años, Mundo Nuevo llegó a crecer tanto que en su parte más alta surgió la comunidad de El Mirador.

Las fotografías que les muestro son de la Avenida José Vicente Gutiérrez, quizás la más transitada por ser la principal de la zona, no solo por transeúntes sino por camiones de carga pesada y otros vehículos que realizan trabajos a diversas horas del día.
