El Parque Ayacucho está situado a orillas del rio manzanares, en pleno corazón de la capital sucrense, muy cerca del casco histórico de la ciudad, por lo que es un punto de referencia indiscutible del sentir oriental, en él se erige la escultura monumental de nuestro "Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Antonio José de Sucre", para honrar la histórica Batalla de Ayacucho (Perú) y la gloriosa gesta del hijo ilustre de Cumaná.
The Ayacucho Park is located on the banks of the Manzanares River, in the heart of the capital of Sucre, very close to the historic center of the city, making it an indisputable point of reference of the oriental feeling, in it stands the monumental sculpture of our "Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Antonio José de Sucre", to honor the historic Battle of Ayacucho (Peru) and the glorious deeds of the illustrious son of Cumana.
En la terraza central del parque encontramos la estatua ecuestre del Mariscal Sucre, rodeada de árboles llamativos por su gran altura, además de una gran fuente, aunque actualmente no está en funcionamiento, se recuerda su atractivo, luego encontramos el Museo Ayacucho, construido para honrar la memoria de nuestro héroe local.
In the central terrace of the park we find the equestrian statue of Marshal Sucre, surrounded by striking trees for its great height, in addition to a large fountain, although currently not in operation, its attractiveness is remembered, then we find the Ayacucho Museum, built to honor the memory of our local hero.
Más adelante podemos ubicar el Parque Ayacucho, el cual es un espacio de recreación y diversión para los más pequeños de la casa, a su alrededor se ubica un cafetín y varios puestos de comida rápida, pero lo que destacan son sus heladerías, yo confieso que tengo especial preferencia por la Heladería La Rosita.
Further ahead we can locate the Ayacucho Park, which is a space for recreation and fun for the little ones of the house, around it is located a cafe and several fast food stalls, but what stand out are its ice cream parlors, I confess that I have a special preference for the ice cream parlor La Rosita.
Aunque son escasos los juegos tradicionales que los niños pueden disfrutar sin costo alguno, pues solo quedan unos pocos columpios y juegos para trepar, también existen otras opciones como los carritos, los inflables y los juegos mecánicos.

Otro instrumento de entretenimiento es el trencito, por así decirlo, que se desplaza por todas los espacios, es bastante llamativo y una alternativa interesante para recorrer todo el parque y disfrutar de la vista al río.
Another instrument of entertainment is the little train, so to speak, that moves through all the spaces, it is quite striking and an interesting alternative to go all over the park and enjoy the view of the river.
Es importante señalar que, a lo largo de los años, el parque se ha convertido en un espacio que promueve la sana recreación, por ejemplo, es común coincidir con variadas presentaciones artísticas, así como encontrarse con señores de la tercera edad que acuden a diario a jugar dominó o ajedrez en sus banquitos, también podemos ver a jóvenes en sus patines o patinetas, además de artesanos locales que completan el paisaje característico del lugar.
It is important to note that, over the years, the park has become a space that promotes healthy recreation, for example, it is common to coincide with various artistic presentations, as well as to find elderly people who come daily to play dominoes or chess on their benches, we can also see young people on their skates or skateboards, in addition to local artisans who complete the characteristic landscape of the place.
En general me atrevería a afirmar que el Parque Ayacucho representa no sólo la historia local sino también que es un lugar de encuentro para todas las generaciones, es un espacio para desarrollar la cultura, preservar las tradiciones, promover la conservación ambiental y pasear en sus caminerias, y quien sabe, tal vez simplemente podemos sentarnos en sus banquitos y disfrutar de una buena lectura.
In general, I would dare to say that Ayacucho Park represents not only local history but also a meeting place for all generations, a space to develop culture, preserve traditions, promote environmental conservation and stroll along its paths, and who knows, maybe we can simply sit on its benches and enjoy a good read.
Vale destacar que no estuve sola en mi recorrido, pues visitar el Parque Ayacucho siempre es la excusa perfecta para ir a comer un helado con mi esposito y sentarnos en el parque a mirar a los niños dando vueltas en los carritos o balanceándose en los columpios, de verdad que siempre es grato hacer un alto en la vida cotidiana y escaparse en una dulce salida.
It is worth mentioning that I was not alone in my tour, because visiting the Ayacucho Park is always the perfect excuse to go for an ice cream with my husband and sit in the park to watch the children spinning in the carts or swinging on the swings, it is always nice to take a break from everyday life and escape on a sweet outing.
Confieso que disfruto mucho del ambiente, el hermoso paraje colmado de árboles majestuosos, el atractivo del Río Manzanares (pese a que hoy día luce algo descuidado), los juegos infantiles, la combinación generacional de gustos de sus visitantes, la costumbre de comerse un helado, es un gusto que bien vale la pena disfrutar con regular frecuencia.
I confess that I really enjoy the environment, the beautiful place full of majestic trees, the attractiveness of the Manzanares River (although today it looks somewhat neglected), the children's games, the generational combination of tastes of its visitors, the custom of eating an ice cream, is a taste that is well worth enjoying on a regular basis.
