Not long ago, I watched the final episode of The Blacklist season 8 on Netflix. It has been a joyful ride and looking back at the time during which I have been watching the season, I believe I am happier about the fact that I have been watching the entire season while exercising much more than the fact that I have been watching it all.
If you have ever seen an episode of The Blacklist, you probably know that it is about Raymond Reddington played by Jason Spader, a guy with lots of intel on crime worldwide. He works as an informant for the FBI, with a very special relationship to Elizabeth Keen (one of their investigators). The eight seasons have taken us on some big rollercoasters, and I have got to be honest, the eighth season was far from the best so far. In fact, I guess the first season was awesome, simply because of the angle of the story.
Then I really enjoyed the sixth and the seventh season, but the eighth season somehow ended up being a bit boring to me. What do I mean?
My pulse didn't increase a lot...
Have you ever used an elliptical trainer or a treadmill? Have you ever experienced that if you watch something exciting you suddenly start to run or move faster? Of course, if you use a treadmill with a set pace that cannot happen, but on an elliptical trainer where you decide the tempo yourself, this can easily happen.
This morning I started to watch The Hitman's Wife Bodyguard, and normally I do it with a pace of 58-60 RPM (rounds per minute). But, I discovered several times during some of the action scenes that I had a speed of 64 RPM and somewhere around there. That might not be a big increase, but I was surprised to see that I automatically lifted the pace when things got interesting. However, I do not remember this happening very often as I watched the 22 episodes of The Blacklist season 8 on Netflix.
Am I looking forward to The Blacklist season 9?
Well, maybe... but not very much. There are so many other shows that I look forward to way more than that. First I have to continue the Hitman's Wife Bodyguard, and then I have The Morning Show season 2 (the Apple+ production), The Mandalorian season 3, and then I also have the Amazon movie named The Tomorrow War. These are some of the productions that I look forward to stream. And then I have the newest James Bond movie (but that I am going to watch in the cinema).
I am happy about the exercise!
But, I am happy that I have exercised 22x 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer. That is actually quite awesome, and with the winter approaching, I will for sure have the chance to stream lots of other content as well while exercising.
Have you seen The Blacklist season 8? Did you like it? Or did you find it to be quite boring, just like me? I would love to hear your thoughts. Do you watch anything or listen to anything while using a treadmill or an elliptical trainer or some other similar device? I would love to hear about your habits and experiences!
