First Time Outdoors!
In my whole 3 weeks of life, I've never gone outside except for my trip home from the hospital, and 2 visits to the pediatrician. Yesterday I got to go out into the real world for the first time!
They strapped me into the car seat for the 3rd time ever and off we went! I have to admit, I really don't like getting into that seat. However, shortly afterward I am out cold.
Off to the Botanic Gardens
Mommy and Daddy have been going to the gardens for walks in the gardens for months now. This will be my first time. Since mommy is still recovering from her c-section (you're welcome), she can only walk for short distances.
Daddy brings us to a more isolated part of the gardens where I can lay back in the shade and take in the sights and sounds of nature. Why do Mommy and Daddy look so tired? I feel fine!
I met some cool new friends while I was lounging here having a nice bottle. A couple of rabbits and a squirrel were incredibly curious about me. They kept getting closer and closer to where I was lying.
The squirrel got so close that Mommy was a bit concerned. Daddy thought it was funny. He thinks that it just wanted to see if we had any snacks for him. He even stuck one paw on the blanket that I was lying on. That's when Mommy had enough!
That Was Enough Activity For Me
I really enjoyed my few hours outside. They say that we'll be coming here almost every day which I am really excited about! Well, if I were conscious enough to get excited about anything.
For now, it's back off to dreamland! Stay tuned to hear about how I have recently discovered that my hands and arms and useful for things other than swatting the bottle out of the way. Exciting times!
