I want you to think of your body like a bank account.
Sleep puts more money into it… but what if you wake up one day and you’re broke?
What are the odds? What could be happening?
Obviously, not getting enough sleep is one reason.
But what if you slept for 9 hours and you’re still exhausted?
The medical term for this is fatigue.
It means no matter how much you sleep, you still feel low on energy.
Let’s start with a simple reason.
Sometimes, you’re just doing too much for too long.
For example, if you’ve been exercising or working very hard for several days without proper rest.
The solution is simple:
get more rest
don’t push your body beyond its limits
If you run 10 miles when your body can only handle 2, your body will see this as constant physical stress.
This activates something called the “fight or flight” mode, and that drains your energy.
If you want to reach 10 miles, you can …but it has to be gradual.
And of course: drink water, eat well, and rest properly.
But what if you’re not overworking?
You sleep well, eat well… and still feel tired.
Then we start thinking about hidden causes.
One example is anemia.
This means something is wrong in your blood especially low iron.
Let me simplify it:
You have the money, but you can’t put it into your account.
Another reason could be after being sick. Even if the virus or bacteria is gone, your body might still be recovering. It’s like your body is still “fighting”, and that uses energy.
Also, hypothyroidism can cause fatigue.
This means your thyroid is slowing everything down. It’s like your body is saying:
“Everyone relax… don’t do too much.”
All of these conditions need a doctor.
You can’t fix them on your own.
Now, what if this tiredness lasts for months?
If it continues for at least 6 months, it could be something called chronic fatigue syndrome.
In this condition, even simple things like talking can feel exhausting.
And the exact cause is still not fully understood.
So what’s the takeaway?
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.
If sleep isn’t fixing your tiredness, DO NOT ignore it.
There could be something deeper draining your energy.
Take care of your body like your bank account.
Don’t let stress, overwork, or hidden problems take all your “MONEY ”.
