I've spent the last day or two grading college students' end of term exams. When that was done I had to go into town to post them back to the college because, it being Saturday, the local post offices are all shut.
So all that took me away from working on my online business. Grrr.
My New Mastermind Site: Conversion Catalyst
I am in the process of launching a Mastermind site called Conversion Catalyst - a coaching site for Internet marketers which is free to join (subject to approval). The site is open and has a few members already even though the "official" launch is not until 7th February.
I'm itching to develop more training modules, but this morning I just had time to post a thread about automating your marketing and follow-up so that the business will continue to work for you even when you are unable to work on it.
That gave me a topic for a quick video that I made in town today just after I posted the exam papers.
Making short videos on your phone is a good way to create content during days filled with "offline stuff". This one took me less than four minutes to complete and I uploaded it while waiting for the tram back home, and did zero editing.

Well, we all live busy lives. We can't always be working on our business, so you've got to automate the process so that when you're offline your business is still working for you when you're working on other things.
Automate - and Engage!
However we do need a bit of human engagement whenever we can. If anybody contacts you directly then you should reply to them directly; just as I'm walking up this escalator, the escalator automatically takes me up and I do a bit of walking when I can to speed up the process.
So here I am in the middle of Hiroshima.
I've just done some business; to be specific I have just posted a whole bunch of student exams score sheets and all the rest of it back to the college. And I had to come into the city center to do that because it's the only post office... There's only post offices in the city center that are open on Saturday afternoons.
So I thought I'd go for a little stroll as it's a lovely day. Lots of people are out and this rather lovely park has a rather dark history as you can see.
A-Bomb Dome
Yes this is the A-Bomb Dome. This is where the bomb exploded, the atomic bomb, back in August 1945. So when we see this we see how the city has revived we remember to feel gratitude for the time that we have and the good life we have and also to appreciate the sense that human spirit and nature itself can revive from terrible disasters.
And so while I'm wandering around this park my online business is working for me. I use a couple of automation tools.
Autoresponder
One is of course an autoresponder that automatically sends out emails to my growing list.
But a list can only grow if people see your landing pages. And how do you get people to see your landing pages if you're always busy out and about getting on with the rest of your life?
Automated Traffic Generation
And that's where the second part of automation comes in and that's what I'm going to be teaching at the second level of my Conversion Catalyst membership site, which is how to automate the process of getting your landing page seen. And I'll be speaking more about that in the membership site.
Anyway I'm going to hop over here. Just over there is the tram line that will lead me... take me all the way over that bridge, the famous t-shaped bridge, and all the way out to the outskirts of Hiroshima where I live halfway between here and the Miyajima shrine.
