My path towards online marketing brought me to $HIVE close to 3 years ago in August, but ALL IN and active daily since February 2021.
My initial foray into finding ways to earn a buck on the internet started a long time ago at this point and once I gave it a solid 5 years straight the many mistakes a person can make I made and eventually walked away from it.
Social media was really starting to be a huge part of a person trying to grow a following and it was becomeing a powerful tool in growing a list.
and the folks he grew online products and services with were way ahead of the curve when it came to branding, list building, engagement and a lot of what we do on HIVE it mirrors what Jon and others believed was important to getting a leg up in the online marketing arena.
At the point where it was making real sense to me, I had to go back to finding a job, because it was time to start picking up the slack and help pay the bills.
Two major impacts, which were negative and positive brought me back to online marketing, because I had a different attitude and understood things just by being on social media on a personal level.
I also kept tabs on what Jon was doing as I continued to follow him on TWITTER and he was one of the good guys in the game, so had no problem following his journey.
A major change in my life started with my decision to take my health and fitness very seriously and that action changed me a lot. It's a given that physically I changed, but it was the mental aspect that was the bigger change.
The second impact was the pandemic and being furloughed at the time and having the extra time to give online marketing another look and eventually another try.
I took a lot of what I had learned, that was super helpful, from the first go round and immediately put that to work when I started to dabble with growing a list and promoting some affiliate opportunities.
I chose to go with just promoting advertising products and services as I was spending most of my time in that arena and it made more sense to go that route and it did well for me. Not life changing stuff, but I started earning a few bucks immediately opposed to my first try years ago.
Once I started feeling good about how things were going I knew that I had to get to the next level and I didn't want to get into a rut, so immediately made the decision to dust off my CTP membership.
AT the time, I was a free member and decided to immediately upgrade and immediately after that found out about HIVE and that is where I can honestly I haven't looked back.
For most of my HIVE journey I was still putting in a little effort on the off chain online marketing thing and still making a buck or two, but found myself reinvesting it into buying tokens on this blockchain.
Nothing wrong with that of course. That was awesome.
What has happened each month that passess by is just like what is happening each time I put into the known social sites off chain like Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
All that takes away from my time on this blockchain. Outside of Twitter, which at least it's devoted to putting a spotlight on HIVE it gets more labor intensive when I do anything off chain.
Here is my HIVE TWITTER handle if we are not already connected, follow me and I'll follow you if you want to: https://twitter.com/jimmyadames
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't completely wal away from those sites, because I have a lot of effort and time into it, but more importantly my acquaintances, family, friends and fellow Orangetheory Fitness community are on all those social media sites.
Another example, is that LinkeIn will be a part of my ongoing tool to find my next job as I was recently let go from my previous employment due to budget cuts.
Now, before you say bring those folks to HIVE - DON'T. They look at blockchain, crypto and online marketing in a negative light and it is what it is. I have no time to convince folks. The time will come when they will be asking me.
Things will change for me and in a drastic way. For the last couple of years, I was working fully remote and that afforded me the extra time to put into my HIVE activity.
Now that I'm going to eventually find another job, there is a much higher chance that I will be working in an office and along with the commute time to the office and being at the office will suck up a lot of that extra time I used to have to be on chain.
That simply means I have to leverage whatever available time I will have for Mo' HIVE time.
Thankfully, with and LEO THREADS, I have the opportunity to keep engaged with the community.
Another super option now available is the mobile app that is finally available in the Apple app store. That will now give me another on the go opportunity to create content when time gets tight on me.
I've also made some investments lately to bump up to LION at $LEO Finance and Dolphin on HIVE. I'm aiming to go Whale on CTP and hopefully that will happen before the year is over.
I also continue to workout under the orange lights and that has been a wonderful bridge on this blockchain with and since I've been an OTF member for over 9 years and have intentions of slowing up that will always be part of my routine to post as much as possible regarding my workouts while I #movetoearn
So where does that leave my online marketing efforts off chain? It's something that I continue to muddle through. I can't agonize over something that I don't feel is making a huge impact in my life like my family, my health and fitness and what I'm building here on this blockchain.
BUT, I've put enough time in it that I have to continue finagling it to try and build my list as long as it's pointing folks to HIVE or at a minimum without devaluaing how it can be just as impactful onboarding folks to this blockchain is promoting CTPX
I downloaded one of the splash pages and uploaded it up a CANVA while self branding it a bit and although breaking the rule a bit may just throw it up in the traffic exchanges I have credits lying around at as well as the safelist and viral mailers and not worry about building a list outright from it.
I still also have lead capture pages out there building my list at a turtle's pace because frankly I am putting almost zero time into it. It pays to have automated advertising if you can get it with an upgrade here and there.
I'm an upgraded member and use the following services to help enhance my content and/or grow my presence on the HIVE blockchain:
