First of all, I still need a lot of education and guidance to perform healthy activities that help towards an eco-friendly environment creation however that being said I still try my best to adhere to some rules that I have set to achieve this goal of mine which you can find below:
- The most important thing for me is when I eat is after I make sure to give my leftovers to someone poor or refrigerate them meaning I do not simply dump my leftovers in the dust bin and waste food. Additionally, I also try to take note of keeping the wrappers of food items with me close by so I can dispose of the safely in a dustbin somewhere later on.
- Whenever I do my grocery I always try to purchase separate cloth bags if the paper bags are not available to carry out my items with me.
- In order to help save energy on our main electricity we have set up our own solar-powered system which is connected to UPS batteries so this means if we get power downs from the main supply we got it covered from the Solar Batteries which is eco friendly as well as it saves useful energy sources.
- I always preach to other friends and family members especially my children to keep care of the environment meaning if my children spill out wrappings on the floor outside the house premises I instruct them to pick these up and put them in the recycle bins.
- I always try to walk off errands to max 2 kilometers and do not use my petrol-powered car. Meaning I am saving useful energy sources in the process.
- I offset my carbon footprint by selecting items during my shopping that are made from sustainable materials.
What are my thoughts on the best ways to help the environment

Here are some of my tips regarding this:
- Be water-wise. Because water is such a limited resource, it's crucial to save it wherever feasible. Fix leaky faucets, take shorter showers, and water your grass less frequently.
- Eliminate waste properly. Make sure to properly dispose of rubbish when doing so. Avoid leaving trash behind and recycle or compost wherever you can.
- Consider how your actions may affect wildlife. Be considerate of wildlife and their habitats when you are outside. Avoid disturbing wildlife or their nests, and avoid littering.
- Teach others and yourself. You can help the environment more if you are knowledgeable about its problems. Discuss environmental issues with your loved ones and urge them to take action as well.
I think the above steps are a good basic guideline on how to be environmentally friendly.
How to participate in World Environment Day or Earth Day
June 5th is designated as World Environment Day (WED). It serves as the primary method used by the UN to promote environmental protection awareness and action. Millions of people all over the world observe WED. WED can be taken part in a variety of methods. Here are some suggestions:
- Visit a neighborhood celebration. To honor WED, numerous communities have celebrations. Cleanups, celebrations, and instructional seminars are a few examples of these occasions.

Each little bit counts.
You can improve the environment and spread awareness of environmental problems by taking part in WED.
How has reducing my environmental impact affected my day-to-day living?
I've been working hard lately to lessen my impact on the environment. I've achieved this by making simple lifestyle adjustments, such as reducing my transportation, energy use, and meat consumption. My daily life has improved as a result of these modifications in a variety of ways.
I am frugal. I've reduced my driving to save money on petrol. By making my house more energy efficient, I have also reduced my energy costs. I've reduced my meat consumption to save money on groceries.
My spare time has increased. I have more time to walk, bike, or use public transportation when I drive less. This frees up more time for me to unwind, work out, or spend with my loved ones.
My self-esteem has improved. I feel good about myself knowing that I am making an effort to lessen my environmental effect. I believe I am changing the world for the better.
I feel more like a part of my neighborhood now. I've developed a stronger sense of community through going on walks, bike rides, or public transportation. I've made new friends and gotten to know new folks. In addition, I now know more about the ecosystem and how I may contribute to its preservation.
My daily life has improved in many ways as a result of reducing my environmental effect. I've been able to save money, get more free time, feel better about myself, and maintain ties to my neighborhood.
I urge you to think about lessening your environmental footprint if you're seeking for ways to change the planet. A tiny adjustment could have a significant impact.
