What are you doing today?
Have you planned the day or are you taking the organic approach and just letting it happen.
I believe that both approaches have value but combined have an even greater value.
Letting yourself be fed by what is happening around you can take you in exciting new directions that you may not have foreseen.
My day starts with
Checking my emails, when I check my emails I spend a bit of time prioritising, looking at what I can respond to a little later, look at what requires a more concentrated response and those that I can respond to straight away. I then get the right-aways out of the way, I then look at what I can respond to a little more quickly and do them, I then put the longer responses required to the side and then approach them a little later in the day when I can give them time, without feeling other things are getting left behind.
I then like to connect with those people that are on my List or those people that I know would find some interest in any new things that I am doing or any new things that I am aware of, Even hashing over old ground has benefit as that reinforces some tried and tested and open up discussion for any improvements that need to be made
Next comes looking at Blog posts and responding where I can and then starting to write one. Often a Blog post will be organic in that it has been fed by something I have encountered that day which makes it quite relevant and on other occasions I may have planned what I am going to write about and have accumulated ideas and concepts that will feed the main idea
I also like to make sure that I connect with at least five new people every day, this is done through a number of ways, My list accumulates new people daily and therefore I have an automatic connection. By responding to others blog posts I am connecting with people and I don’t just read posts by people I know, I love to read and respond to new posts when I can and just go to the general PeakD/Hive platform and look at posts that have been written in the past 6 hours, of which there is a plethora.
The most important thing to be doing in a day is to make sure that you look after yourself. What do you do for you. Without taking care of your own well being you are not able to be inspired to engage with others. I love walking, I love to ride bikes and I love to spend time sitting in a garden in the sun. I also go to the gym on a very regular basis. I also love to cook, I love to eat and I love to spend time with close friends and family.
In these current times where the world is unsure it is vitally important to look after one’s own wellbeing and essential that you take some time every single day for yourself, make sure that you stay recharged, refreshed and invigorated for yourself.
Only then will others see you for what you are and only then will you see you for what you are
So what are you doing today???
