Remembering Bodrum
Before the Turks, the Crusaders ruled here.
Before the Crusaders, the Persians.
And even before them the Old Greeks.
I don't know who was there before the Greeks. I guess history will know. But definitely someone big and powerful.
And they all built a lot. And they all demolished a lot.
Enough is left. In the fortress of the Knights of the Order of Saint Peter.
We are standing before an open crypt.That we are just dust and nothing.
No one on a short trip. Towards nowhere.
A speck in the eye.
Which disappears in the blink of an eye.
A stone grave. In which lie the bones of an unknown man.
Once great and famous. Now just a warning.
