Yesterday I wrote about how to use tags to earn second layer tokens. I wanted to go BACK to that topic and emphasize how much additional earnings you can make by using the right tags.
While this post may be about earnings, just remember that when using these tags, your posts are going to Hive front-ends where your content is read by PEOPLE. You can use proper tags but if your content sucks don't expect to make much.
^^^ Those are the rewards I am currently expecting a post to produce.
The post? A simple one called "Don't leave money on the table. Leverage general tags for extra earnings" that I wrote yesterday.
Discussing a great tool that showed post payouts, I decided to use it this morning to go back and check to see what earnings I could expect to be paid out on the post.
The great part is that I can review the token payout, then convert it to Hive Value for post comparison. The Hive/token values you see above are from this morning September 19th.
The post payout increased by 2.54 Hive because I used the RIGHT tags.
The post itself earned 2.78 HBD, and when converted to hive at market value, you can see the difference.
With second layer, that post will pay out 5.32, if I convert the earnings to hive. Without those tags I would've earned 2.78. That's a difference of 2.54 Hive.
Depending on the post and the tag used, I have seen several instances where the second layer coin payouts are sometimes significantly higher than the base hive payout amounts, just by the accounts that are upvoting.
All that to say: Use 10 tags per post for max payout, and pick good tags.
See my post from yesterday about the whole process as well. :) I thoroughly enjoy this topic and am always on the lookout for good communities to connect with.
What's your favorite tags? I asked this recently but it's worth a repeat. What tags do you use and WHY?
Peace and Love,
-Rob
P.S. The chart above doesn't show it, but I also earned 46.107 SPT for the post as well. For those of you playing Splinterlands you know what that means. :D
